Live Steam Magazine

As I am real new to the hobby. But Very interested. Would any of you know if the past Live Steam Magazines had any good articles on Trains and the building an plans of the same.
I ask as I have a friend who has every issue from #1 to about 2006. Before losing interest. He has said he would sell them to me. But he live a long way away so I can't inspect.And if there is
not some real good information on mainly Trains I will pass.

Live Steam Magazine as currently published by Village Press in Traverse City MI? If so then yes, in the past there used to be some serial articles on building various locomotives. I think the A3 which I am building first appeared there. Fewer now though so the older issues are better in that regard. There may be an index on their website which would tell you what appeared when.

All of Kozo's engines as far as I know were first featured as build article series in the magazine. But the books are MUCH more convenient.
