I am currently building a 3/4" scale Little Engines Northern and want to start getting stuff around to do the plumbing. I want to start maching some globe valves. What size of tubing and valves are recomended for this size of Locomotive? This is my first locomotive so any help will be appreciated.

I'm building my first engine too. Generally speaking, For the A3 Kozo specifies 3/16 tube for the low pressure water feeds to pumps. 5/32 for the high pressure boiler feeds, and 1/8 for lower volume and accessory uses. I don't know if those are sufficient for a larger engine, but I would think it's close. I think the larger question is what method of pipe joining you plan to use so you can design a uniform system. Thank you, I hope to use scale pipe fittings if all possible, I hope to fabricate my own steam turret valve on top of the boiler back head to run my accesories.
