I am new to the steam engine world and have considerd starting with the A3. I would like to build a stationary engine. One thing that has confused me is I see many engine plans but, no mention of a boiler that will serve these engines. Is there a boiler that can be purchaced that will power most stationary engines. I would think an elecectric boiler would be very handy.
Thanks

I see that 31 folks have read your question and no one has given you an answer. You can buy boilers but they tend to be very priciey. You can also build your own. A good book on the subject of model boiler building is by chance "Model boilers and boilermaking by K.N. Harris" He is a british author and the book was writen in 1971 but is still available.

Hello This is my experience...I started with n°33 from Elmer's, his engines are simple ad gave a lots of experience!! You found the drawing in quite all the web...for the boiler i followed the book "Making simple model steam engines" by Stan Bray and the HMEM forum...Plans section is full of plans...unfortunatelly none is electric!!! Best regards Paolo
