This year SRRL5 brought his Sandy River equipment to the Narrow Gauge Meet, and Karl pulled out the #20 D&RG and double headed it with a really long train. What a treat! The two west-side shays came together again for lots of double heading, including pulling a long train of firewood up the mountain division to the wood pile. There's video of that coming.
Actually, it was a 'mostly' narrow gauge meet, as the daylight train appeared suddenly in the middle of it!
Made for an interesting contrast.
It was good to see Pat Hutcheson at Bitter Creek again! Pat I'm glad I hooked you up with Jack Bodenmann
At the end of the Narrow Gauge photos is a brief dinner visit to the Santa Margarita Ranch Railroad, 3ft narrow gauge. The Harpur American was running with Jeff Badger at the controls.
And yes, there IS a video in the works similar to last years'.
