i am trying to buy rainbow six vegas 2 off steam, when i go it tells me to put my birthday in but no matter what i put it just flashes back to saying enter your birthday. what is causing this.

Wrong kind of steam. This forum is for folks building steam locomotives, not the video game network platform.
Best way to tell the difference: you don't need to learn to silver solder to download a new game.
