Yep,
It gets going in the winter months, Personaly I have no time, right now to do anything besides yard work, and ridding my motorcycle, when ever I get the chance. I will be working on the A3 when most of my time will be spent indooors. Dont despair !!! winter will be here in no time. Enjoy the rest of the summer. IronMan Montreal, Canada

I hear that IronMan. I really slack off in the summer from all of my shop projects. This year is somewhat strange because I have been building a Stirling engine and I recently bought my first real hit-n-miss engine. Fun stuff, let me tell you.
I do have a Kozo project update to put together, I just have to find time to do it.

Well...
...You guys might be slacking off, but I've been busy taking a welding class and working on parts for my boiler. I now have all the flat steel pieces cut (except for the fire door and dry pipe holes in the back head), and I'm about ready to cut the firebox opening into the tube, which I will do once I verify all the dimensions.
I also finished the pilot, which is one of the "switcher" type. It's just a pair of steel bar stock pieces cut to length and drilled, then bolted to a single piece of angle iron, and a pair of wooden steps screwed down onto the angle iron so they sit parallel to the track. The steps were made from scrap maple, the 2½" bar stock I had on hand, and I paid a couple of bucks for the angle iron and hardware, and some paint. But it's my first finished part!
Of course, our live steamers are keeping busy as well, and we have a run day coming this Monday (a holiday here in the US). So there's plenty to do....

I see Dale is trying to put the rest of us to shame. That last post made me want to go home right now and start building. Good work Dale, I hope to see pics of your progress sometime soon.

Shop time is near,
I have begun to clean up around the house, getting ready for the long winter months a bit ahead of time, in the hope of having more time in the shop. But on a nice day like today, I could not resist an got on my bike and ended up doing nothing, except enjoy myself that is! Well one more day of vacation gone..... I also will be sharing valuable shop time with the A3 with my new project that landed in my lap ( well 4 to be exact ) but I will stick to one for now. I have a Honda CB250 KO 1967 to restore, and Honda Sl 100 1972 and 2 minibikes!! I will devote some time to the Hondas this winter, in the spring I will paint them. The 250 needs motor repairs, to be road worthy.... I always wanted to restore an old convertible car, alas there is no room for that , but hey I got more that half my wish, its convertible but its only got 2 wheels! Well guys its time to go and get some work done. I will be sure to post the minute I get back on the A3, I am waiting for a round over bit to arrive, and a bit a of cold weather to use as an excuse to hibernate in my workshop ;D
Regards to all, IronMan
