Howdy folks,
I'm Todd. I'm not new to the model railroading hobby, but I am new to live steam. I've had everything from N-scale to 1:20.3 as well as computer simulated railroading. But, I've wanted to do live steam since my first experience with real steam trains at the age of 5.
I've been working with a small lathe for the past year. And, a few months ago I got a small milling machine. Then I discovered Kozo's A3 book. Well, that was it. It seems like a manageable project, and I like the instructional way in which it is written.
So, here I am. I'm going to be getting some round bar stock next week and get started on the tender wheels. I'm glad that I found this forum. I'm bound to have questions along the way. And, I see there are a lot of skilled builders here.
See ya in the roundhouse.
Todd

Hi, my name is Ron, as mentioned many times before, saw the kozo books and that was it. Trying to find out if there is more plans out there than the kozo material.

Hi fellow model engineers, I've been building and running model steam for around 25 years, have 2 locos, a freelance 0-4-0 tank loco and a 'Kozo' Climax, both in 5"gauge, sadly both are in pieces at present while I build new storage for my motorbikes so I can regain possession of workshop space.

Morning, I'm Ric Golding. Headed down to Parrish, Florida to meet, I hope, some of you. Slowly been getting in to this part of Model Railroading, now that I am retired. 20 years in the Coast Guard and 25 years running a marina, makes up most of my adult life work structure. The bride and I have been married 43 years and have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Live 50 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri in a small southern Illinois town. Have been a model railroader all my life and can remember when the tracks of the W,F&PRR had tracks on Brown Road in St. Louis County. Big in to Operations and have been visiting the Finger Lakes Live Steamers in the summer time and that is where this chapter began.

Hi everyone. I'm Chris Briggs, living in the US Virgin Islands. I am working on a project that uses live steam, but have a few questions about how to make it happen. Does anyone here live in St. Thomas?
