I was at the club last night with Don checking out his Pennsy G5 and getting it ready for this weekends activities. While we were there I set my tender truck on the tracks to see how it fit. It seemed like a success. Now I can make the last 2 axles, truck bolsters, and complete the tender trucks. The tender frame is about half done so I should have a running tender frame this summer. Check out my site for pictures of the the trucks on the track.

Hello Jamie, Nice work, you must of felt great to see the trucks actually on the tracks. Hopefully soon it will be my turn! I am waitting for the music wire to make the springs I will let you know how things turn out. To what dimensions are you going to make the the upper bolster? I used 1" x1.5" a little less than the plan required but I did not think it would affect the look or performance. Great work keep it up, and take some pictures this week-end for the rest of us who can not be there Cheers, IronMan

Thanks, it was good to finally see my parts on the tracks. I don't remember what material I bought for the upper bolster, it is at home in my shop. I assume I used the same dimension that you did. It makes sense. I'll take lots of pics this weekend and share them with everybody. Jamie
