Hello all,
I'm on the verge of starting the A3 probably in 3/4", possibly in 1 1/2 ". Any idea of the minimum radius for either of the scales. Also, any estimate of the hours that it takes to complete the whole engine. Obviously, I am new at this, but very excited.
Thanks in advance.

Some people spend 10 years building their locomotive, some can do it in as little as 6 months. What ever the case, your in for a lot of work, if its up your alley, you should enjoy it very much. As for the minimum curve, I do not know. Since its an O-4-0, it can't be much.

Little Engines catalog put the minium radius of their 0-4-4 in 1 1/2' scale at 15 feet.
