Hi Guys,
I felt there was a lack of support for Kozo Locomotive builders from around the world. Hundreds of folks are building Kozos right now. They now have a place to exchange ideas, to get together, and have a nice chat.
Be sure to start a new thread for each new subject.
Thanks for visiting.

Now, if someone could manage to get Kozo in here and give input, that would just make it ideal Fred

Hi Fred, I've invited a live steamer from Japan, Hiroyuki Watanabe, to join us. Hiroyuki wrote the article about Live Steaming in Japan ( www.discoverlivesteam.com/magazine/27.html ). He's well established in this hobby over there. If he joins us, we can ask him about Kozo answering some questions for us.

All, Thanks go out to Jim for starting this much needed forum. I have built Kozo's A3 which I finished this past spring. I never had the chance to fire and run the loco due to some personal hardships which caused me to sell it. I will be building another, but most likely scaled down to run on gauge 1 track and radio controlled. For me smaller is better. I would love to build a 1 1/2" scale locomotive but my shop is small and I would have no way of transporting it, not to mention the cost of materials.

Hey what about an online chat, or IRC-chat channel?

We can do an online chat. We need to pick a day and time. Who's up for a chat?
Jim.

Hi, I'm building Kozo's new Shay. Started in April 2000. For latest pics see my web site www.mataisoftware.co.nz/shay.phpThis is my first loco. Kozo's instructions certainly make it easy to build his locos. I am also aware of another builder in Christchurch New Zealand, building 3 of the New Shays in 7 1/4" gauge. John
