welcome to a new year fellas, so do ye have any resolutions for next year? I'm vowing to have at least started an A3 by the end of 2008, and right now, thats on a $65 budget, so wish me luck!!!! Steamingspud

If you can find a used lathe with tooling that someone is willing to pretty much give you, you could get the tender wheels, axles and bearings going.
be sure to pick up some basic machining books or videos, or find someone to give you some good pointers, especially in regards to safety. It will save you a lot of frustration and scrapped parts...
If you can't locate a used lathe in that price range, perhaps save up a little more and buy a 3-in-1 lathe/mill/drill, either used or new from Harbor Freight.
