Mike,
Great see her (what is her name going to be?) at home.
Keep us updated with pictures and mods you plan on doing. Maybe you will be able to bring her to the LALS track some Sunday or even at the 51 year anniversary.

Thanks. Yes, will bring it everywhere when it's done. Currently getting ready to hydro it to 1 1/2x MAWP and reproduce the weep that the seller saw on the backhead. My dad has started on a new cab, I'm about to order some real working couplers (has dummy couplers currently) and there's a zillion other things...but assuming the boiler turns out OK, it shant take a huge amount of time to get it running again. --Mike

Mike,
Except for the BigBoy locomotives are always female - they have a petticoat and a tender behind. Thus, instead of Le Chloe, it should be La Chloe.

indeed, the secret to gaining your S/O's acceptance of your hobby gone amok is to name the engine after her. And then teach her to fire it. It will always be female for at least that reason. Sorry I haven't been posting updates here, been doing a lot of cross-talk with the Allen builders' yahoo group. I am keeping the photo gallery up to date: www.mojaveserver.info/gallery/main.php/v/harlock/chloe/

And we're really glad you're there! Great photos of your engine and the work you're doing on her! We look forward to seeing your Chloe on the track soon....
