www.mojaveserver.info/gallery/main.php/v/harlock/sagebrushshortline1/On Saturday George Pruitt's Sage Brush Short Line hosted the Riverside Live Steamers. We only had an hour to spend there as I ducked out of another obligation that day to get there late, so there's just a few pics of engines on the steaming bay and one ride around the track. The Sagebrush Short Line is a privately owned track in Ridgecrest, CA., and is affiliated with the Ridgecrest Area Independent Live Steamers, a loosely-knit group of enthusiasts. The Allen Mogul is brand spanking new and this was its maiden voyage on that particular track. it has the best sounding whistle I've ever heard on an engine of that size. You can see it hidden below the running board. Aside from the Riverside foks, some people from Kern County Live Steamers (my home club) were there. --Mike

Hi, Mike.
Thanks for the pictures; some really nice looking locomotives there!
But...I didn't see a Mogul in any of your photos.
I saw a 4-6-2 (Pacific wheel arrangement) but it looked like an older style; I saw a 10- wheeler 4-6-0, and I saw an American 4-4-0, but no Mogul (2-6-0). Did I miss something?

Err, sorry...Allen 10 wheeler, not Mogul. The one with the thick gold/brass bands on the steam domes.
And yes the green cab loco is an older style Pacific.
