I am new to this forum but I want to build a live steam locomotive in 1" scale but it seems that there is not a lot of information, plans or kits available. Is 3/4" and 1" scale a dying breed? Its seem that most of the products out there are in t 1 1/2" and larger. Am I looking in the wrong places ? The only place I have seen to have a larger selection is Reeves 2000 overseas. Here in California I am lucky to have a couple of clubs that have these two scales along with 1 1/2". Can anyone help me. Thanks

One resource that you should know of is Friends "Yankee Shop" Models - www.friendsmodels.com/homeandlatestnews.htmlI think that 1" scale has a lot going for it, but it seems that there is more interest in being able to haul passengers.

Check out 1" Ride on Trains on face book. This is a very active 1" page with over 500 members.
