We decided to extend our layout of 800' loop to add another 1,200' to the pond and back. We have a coupld of areas of steep grades of 3% but our engine is making the trip with no problems. I think a geared steam locomotive would have no problem but a rodded engine might have some struggles. Diesels should be all right on the whole layout. We always enjoy visitors and especially those who want to run on our railroad so I have planned a transfer table and lift for visiting engineers and their equipment--but that is in the future. Hopefully we can get that part built before the end of summer. We have worked hard on this new section and the video shows some of what we are doing. I hope none of you guys work as hard as we PLAY! ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Mh1mIQT1TERG
