Hi,
I recently came into possession of a vertical steam engine. I don't know much about it but it is very cool. As you can see by the picture it is missing the valve cover, it doesn't have a governor and doesn't need one. It is missing the flywheel, crank, and base. I would still like to get it running so I am going to buy a plate for the valve cover and find a flywheel from an auto wrecker, I will also have to get some round, and square bar for the crank.
Anyway I would really appreciate any help identifying this little engine, what it was used in and what the purpose was, and the years of production would be nice to know.

also forgot to say how big it is, the height as it sits is 24", i will get more details and measurements if you need them.
