Hello all!
I'm Matt, I'm from Wisconsin. I'm new to the forum and Locos. Going to start on an A3 with my 14 old son. I also hangout over on the HMEM forum and will be doing a full build log there also.
;)Matt

Matt ...
Welcome aboard ... this is a great group to work with. You and your son will have lots of fun building the A3.
What scale?
Post lots of pictures and ask away.
What is the address of HMEM forum?
Later,
Pat H.

Thanks Pat. Heres is the link. www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.phpWill be build in 3/4" scale. I've been hanging around your site alot lately. Your A3 is awesome. Lots of great info there. I will be building mostly with steel though, except for the copper boiler. The brass got sooooo expensive. Need to finish up my CNC conversion on my lathe so I can start craving up the tender wheels. Got my Speedy Metals order today for the tender. Matt

Looks like you're off to a great start. The CNC will take the drudgery out of turning eight tender wheels, though for me it was great practice as one of the first things I machined with a lathe.

haven't counted all the parts that need to be made to complete the build, but we will keep a tally as we go. Machining of A3 parts #1 thru #8. Tender Wheels. After getting the basic internal shape, We center drilled, drilled, and reamed to .3125 Matt
