Does anybody have a suggestion for non cadmium containing silver solder that actually works well? I have exhausted my resources as every vendor I've tried will not ship to the state of CA. Ken-

Ken,
There is no other composition that works as well, that's why the stuff is still around despite the hazards. Have you heard, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"? Maybe you should plan an R&R logistics trip. Another thought is to find a private seller on eBay.

Thanks Ed,
Yeah, I went that route already before going with Stan. I'm sure stuff comes up "occasionally" but not enough to warrant trying to find it. Most sellers have gone the 56% non cad route.

Just a followup. I finally was able procure some EasyFlow 45 or BAg-1. Extremely difficult to get where I'm at. But, for those who may be considering something else, there is no comparison to a non-cad version with higher temp.
I was working with BAg-7 no cad and I could not even get it to melt with a MAPP gas torch. I just could not get it to flow. I got it to melt, once, by putting the part in my melting furnace! Even then it did not flow into the gap. Within 5 minutes of using easy flow my part was done. I found that the black flux is better than the white 601. Bit more forgiving of mistakes. I've seen the light.
