Does anybody know of a source for castings of the drive wheels for the Pennsy A3 Switcher?

Bill Holder I believe sells castings for it in 3/4" scale.
He also sells other castings for other scales that could be used as well.

I did a couple Google searches for ya and came up with a Bill Holder, and a Bob Holder as members of the New Jersey Live Steamers. Seems that Bob has several things for sale and lists his phone number in the July/August news letter. I don't know if this is the same guy the BillH was refering to, but it might be worth a call.

I have successfully built the A3 Switcher but before I dirty it up with coal soot, I would like to try it out on propane. Does anyone know of a suitable propane burner that would fit in that small firebox and yet supply enough heat to operare the engine for more than one loop of a large track? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hans On the ggls.org website (Golden Gate Live Steamers) they have a Tips & Technical heading. There is a project called Marty burners. These are for 1 1/2 scale but maybe will work in smaller boilers. David T

I should have driver castings avail in Jan-Feb of 2004 for the A3 in 1 1/2" Scale. These drivers are being based off the pic that Jamie has on his progress site: www.easternmachineworks.com/loco/a3progress.htm(Square counter weights rather than cresent) Anyone interested just put up a post and I'll see if any need to be cast for other folks.
