Just purchased this engine, and was wondering if anyone had any idea of who the original supplier of the casting would be, or to whose design it is. purchased in the U.K, I am thinking that this has been imported at some time from either USA or Canada, as cant find anything like it in the U.K Attachments:

I could be wrong....but it kind of looks like one of the many locomotives Bill van Brocklin built. Look for initials on it....WFB, I think. He scratchbuilt many nice locomotives.

The loco is a Martin Evans design and castings are still available as well as all drawings from Blackgates in the UK. The original was a 0-8-0 Caribou engine and had an optional 2-8-0 build which is what you show and is known as the buffalo.
