Hi, I recently came into possession of a vertical steam engine. I don't know much about it but it is very cool. As you can see by the picture it is missing the valve cover, it doesn't have a governor and doesn't need one. It is missing the flywheel, crank, and base. I would still like to get it running so I am going to buy a plate for the valve cover and find a flywheel from an auto wrecker, I will also have to get some round, and square bar for the crank. Anyway I would really appreciate any help identifying this little engine, what it was used in and what the purpose was, and the years of production would be nice to know. I don't know how to upload a picture so please visit this website for the pictures aboutsteam.com/index.php?cID=82 If you need me to upload more pictures just let me know, any help is appreciated. also forgot to say how big it is, the height as it sits is 24", i will get more details and measurements if you need them. Thanks for any help.
