For those of you who have not heard of Elmer Verburg, he created many fascinated stationary steam engine designs which were published in Live Steam and Modeltec magazine.
50 of his engine designs were also collected into a book, "Elmer's Engines". You may be able to obtain access to this book through your local library via the inter-library loan program. In another forum in 2003, the specifics of his book were given as:
Elmer's Engines Elmer Verburg ISBN 0-9621671-0-X Old Orchard Publishing Service
I have not seen the book, but I have seen many of his plans in Modeltec and Live Steam. Getting a hold of the book would be a treat.

Thank you! There is a machining class here at work and the professor wanted some relatively simple projects for the students to try their hands at. I wasn't able to locate the articles in the back issues of Live Steam and Modeltec.
